Last year's Open Market, sponsored by the CBA's Business Climate Improvement Committee, was a terrific success! Over a thousand people visited the tables of Charlestown's local retail, home-based, and artisan businesses. This year's Open Market is scheduled for June 14 (with a rain date of June 21) and promises to be just as successful. Applications for tables are available at charlestownopenmarket.com and are due by June 4th. If you have a retail, home-based or artisan business in Charlestown, you don't want to miss this opportunity to showcase your products and services! Kids Day is coming to Charlestown Citibank Financial Center, Sunday June 8th 2008 - from noon until 4 pm at City Square Park. There will be a jumbo moonwalk and slide, drawing for a gas grill, food and entertainment, raffles and giveaways, the chance for kids to explore firetrucks and police cruisers, and Interactive Games and contests. CBA Members are invited to a behind-the-scenes tour of "Old Ironsides" followed by a cocktail reception at the USS Constitution Museum. June 19th, 6-8 pm.
Explore parts of the Ship not open to the public, then explore the Museum and learn about the exhibits currently in development -- alll while enjoying meeting friends and neighbors who share an interest in out history and our community.
The event is hosted by our young professionals group, the Young "Old Ironsides" Society and is free of charge, though space is limited and reservations are required. Charlestown Mortgage, LLC is a residential mortgage broker company with their office located at One Thompson Square, Suite 502 in Charlestown. The company was formed in 2003 and is owned by Stuart Fraass and his wife Frances Rivera.
The couple moved to Charlestown in 2001. Stuart came from Denver and Frances from Oklahoma City. Stuart has been in the mortgage business for over seven years before he started Charlestown Mortgage and Frances is a news anchor at WHDH channel 7.
